boy or girl?

I am 18 weeks and 2 days today.  We have an appointment for an ultrasound to measure the baby's growth.  We also find out what we are having today!  We have been anxiously anticipating today.  Nick thinks we are having another boy and I am thinking we are having a girl.  My baby bump is starting to really show.  Soon I won't be able to hide it even under a heavy sweater.

The ultrasound went really well.  Everything was measuring perfectly for the due date.  The baby is 9 ounces now according to the measurements, or a size of a bell pepper.  The heartbeat was a strong 145 bpm.  We got to see the chambers of the heart, the bladder, the brain, an array of other organs, as well as arms and legs and last but not least the private parts.  Turns out we are having another boy!  We are thrilled Bennett will be having a baby brother.

I cannot wait to meet my second son in May.  It's going to be a long winter!
