on the way to brussels, belgium

Early this morning we set out for Brussels, Belgium.  We wanted to give ourselves enough time to explore.  It took us about 2 hours to get there.  We took the highway which made the trip quick and easy.

Bennett was a trooper and entertained himself by reading some of his books in the back seat.

The weather was not the greatest for pictures but the coutryside here is gorgeous.  It's really flat though compared to Scotland and Ireland.

The windmills here are the most unique and picturesque landscape features.

We saw no special signs when crossing the border.  And, it was hard to tell when we actually crossed it.

I really had to pay attention to snag a picture of the border marking.

I had a feeling we were in Belgium when we saw the modern windmills highway side and the Duvel factory.
