a walk in the park

Bennett acquainted himself with baby Anna this morning.  He did not get a chance yesterday since he was so busy playing with his pal Isla.  He was very gentle and babbled a bunch to her.  I hope it was all good things.

We were up early and decided to take a stroll to Vondelpark with baby Anna and Bennett.  Herengracht is a beautiful canal.  In Amsterdam there are a lot of bikes and they are everywhere.  The bike riders rule the city and even pedestrians must watch out for them and get out of their way.

On the walk to the park we came across a bridge with lots of padlocks on it.  It looked as if Amsterdam had it's own version of the Love Bridge in Paris.

It was a great day for the park.  Bennett was very happy to get down and run around.

We stopped at a playground for Bennett.

We were trying out all of the rides on the playground.

This one was our favorite.  We had fun pedaling around the circle with B.

After an active morning at the park, we headed to lunch at one of the cafes in the park.

It was a gorgeous day for a lunch out.  We ordered delicious sandwiches.  The dutch don't really have a specialty cuisine to the likes of Italians or the French.  They do enjoy their food fresh and our sandwiches were incredibly so.  The bread tasted like it had just came out of the oven.  Yummy!

Anna did amazing.  She slept through most of our morning and woke up for lunch briefly.  She is a little angel.  We are headed to the museums after lunch.
