kilwin's

On a recommendation from my friends, Jess and Shay, we decided to get some ice cream from Kilwin's in Newport, RI after the beach.  I have never heard of them but they are supposed to be the best ice cream arguably in the entire state of Rhode Island.  It was hot out now so we needed a nice cool treat.

Kilwin's also makes fudge, including their own hot fudge topping, chocolates and chocolate covered treats.

Nick and I both ordered cappuccino chocolate chip ice cream.  He got his in a sugar cone, I got mine in a waffle bowl with hot fudge topping.  

We also bought some fudge for later.  The ice cream and topping were so delicious I was sad we couldn't get free refills.  Bennett enjoyed daddy's sugar cone with a little bit of ice cream in it.

I definitely wish we lived closer to this place.  I look forward to coming back here.  It was a great ending to a fun beach day.  The fudge we tried later that night.  It's by far the best fudge I have ever had.  It was silky and smooth in texture and with a great depth of flavor besides just the usual sugar.  I am not going to eat fudge from another place ever again.  This was so heavenly.
