going home

We asked to leave the hospital early.  Everything was looking good with Winston and myself.  There was no reason for us to stick around.  I wanted to be home with B.  I wanted to be in the comfort of my own home.  The nurse told us we would be able to leave by 4PM that afternoon.  Grandma and Bennett came for a visit in the morning before nap time.

Winston loves snuggling with Grandma already.  He is a sweet and quiet baby.  He is mostly sleeping.  I am having to wake him up to feed every three hours which he is not super excited about.

I got to shower and change before going home.  That felt really good.

Winston is so tiny looking in his car seat.  I forgot how little babies are at birth.  Bennett looks like a giant compared to Winston now.  It's hard to remember that he is really just a baby himself.

The car ride home was not as scary as the first ride home from the hospital with baby Bennett.  It's amazing how much more calm and collected we are all around with Winston.

We got to enjoy some of the day outdoors once home.  It's nice to be home and sleep in my bed tonight.  I am looking forward to a week at home with my family.  Welcome home Winston!
