bancroft tower

In the middle of Worcester there is a tower built to commemorate George Bancroft, the founder of the US Naval Academy.  

It is in the middle of a residential neighborhood.  The location is very random and the tower does not fit in.

It makes for a really nice picnic spot.  I think next time we will bring one to enjoy in the small park around the tower.

It is unfortunate we couldn't climb up the tower.  Bennett was more interested in running around the grass nearby then the tower.  Winston was more interested in eating.
