philly

This morning we set off for our trip to Philadelphia, PA.  We are going down for a wedding.  Our friends Tony and Erin and getting married Saturday.  Nick is a groomsmen so we are headed down early for all the pre-wedding fun.  The great part about the trip is that we are staying with our friends the Pledgers in Kennett Square, PA.   It's the "Mushroom Capital of the World" because mushroom farming in the region produces over a million pounds of mushrooms a week!

It took us about 7 hours to get to their house.  We made a stop for breakfast at Cracker Barrel (my favorite) and lunch.  Bennett had just about had it so we were happy to get there and jump right into using the trampoline.  At first Bennett was very unsure and was having a hard time standing up.

After a few bounces with mommy holding him, he was giggling and laughing and thoroughly enjoying himself.  Plus, Chloe was helping Bennett bounce.

We moved on to exploring the rest of their great yard after the kids got bored with the trampoline.  Bennett and Chloe enjoyed the swing.

Then Chloe was swinging Bennett.  I think she secretly wants her mommy to have another baby.  She was so helpful and attentive to Bennett.  Chloe would make an awesome older sister.

It was time to go in when everyone got hungry for dinner.  Nancy and John gave us a tour of their house earlier.  It is gorgeous!  We love it.

Bennett enjoyed his dinner but his favorite was the chocolate cake Nancy made.

I love his chocolate face.  Bennett had a nice bath after dinner to clean up.  I cannot wait for tomorrow.  We are going to Longwood Gardens in the morning.  Bennett and I slept really well after such a long and exciting day.
