daddy's birthday

Today Bennett and I woke up early to make Daddy his birthday card.  He was away at the candle shop like he is most mornings so we had about a half hour to get it done.  I already prepped it yesterday so all we had to do was trace Bennett's and my hand onto the card.  I took about ten minutes.  Bennett would not spread his fingers at first so I got blue permanent marker all over his fingers.  Hopefully that comes out soon.  My hand was much easier to trace.  We managed to get dressed, start on breakfast and get the cake and candles all ready before daddy got home.  Bennett and I decided to eat cake for breakfast because we wanted to give Daddy's birthday a great start.

Bennett enjoyed the cake more than anyone.  It took twenty minutes to clean up the aftermath. 

Later today we made dinner for Daddy and spent the rest of his birthday playing in the yard.  Happy Birthday Daddy!  We love you.
