fun with maeve at the park

Maribeth and Maeve were free this afternoon to join us for a walk and for some play time at the nearby park.  It was really nice out but a little overcast.  The park we ventured to was a 5 minute walk so even in case of rain we would not be too far.  Bennett and Maeve checked out the swings first.

It was Bennett's first time on a swing like this outdoor one.  He loved it! He was giggling and laughing and loved swinging as high as possible.

Next we tried the slide.  It was Bennett's favorite! He couldn't figure out how to get back up to slide down so he tried to climb up the slide.  After we showed him how to get up to the top of the slide, he was so impatient that he would continuously try to go down the slide head first.  Good thing mommy was there to catch him every time.  Maeve was also enjoying herself.  She was loving the slide as much as Bennett.  We all took turns going down the slide with her.

Maeve enjoyed Bennett's goldfish after he dropped them here.  You snooze you lose. 

We had a fun afternoon and I am thankful we have Maeve next door to play with Bennett.
