first swim class

Today is Bennett and Nolan's first swim lesson.  They will be going every Saturday for six weeks.

Bennett loves the tub so I was thinking that this would be something he loves to do.  With the summer right around the corner, I wanted him to get familiar with the pool.

The boys made it into the pool with no problems.  But, shortly after hitting the pool Bennett started bawling. 

I was worried we would have to leave.  But, the teacher started singing and they were dancing and moving to the song which calmed Bennett down.  He was fine for the rest of the class.

When he started kicking and pumping his arms like he does in the bath, I knew he was loving it.  He really surprised us with his initial reaction.

Nolan had a great time too.  He liked to blow bubbles with his mouth and lounging with his feet up in the air.

The first class was over too quick.  I am excited for the next five classes.  I think the boys loved it.  We took the boys out to lunch after for some BBQ at our favorite joint Texas Roadhouse.  Bennett and Nolan filled up on warm rolls and pulled pork.  

Bennett tried his first lemon.

He surprised me again when he didn't make much of a pucker face at first.  It took a few bites.  He did not go for seconds.

We all needed a nap after this morning.  Nolan was so tired afterwards that he slept for four hours.  I was not so lucky.  B only slept for one and a half.  He is an endless ball of energy.
