kiley's baptism

This Sunday we have the huge honor of becoming Godparents to Kiley, Cait and Evan's baby girl.  I was nervous.  I have never even been to a baptism up to this point.  Things went really smoothly and the ceremony was short at about 25 minutes.  There were two other babies being baptized at the same time.

Kiley did really well when it came to being cleansed with the Holy Water,

I held the clothe for her baptism and Nick lit the Paschal candle.

Kiley receiving the Catechumen and the Chrism oils.

Our Goddaughter looking adorable in the cutest dress.

Bennett did really well at the church.  The service was during his nap time but he held up without crying or whining.  He even kept his bow tie on the entire time.

Kiley slept through most of the service.  She thoroughly enjoyed her baptism.

Bennett got to know some of Kiley's cousins after the church at the after party.  He really liked hanging with Alex.  It might have been her Leap Pad.

Kiley made the rounds and greeted all her guests.

She was out of the dress fairly quickly once we got back to the house.  It was a hot day!

It's too much to ask for a nice picture with Bennett.

He was tired.  After one of his tantrums he ended up cleaning the floors.

Winston was getting some attention at the party too.

He looks very handsome in his bowtie onesie.

I made the cake for the party.

Linda, Cait's Mom, showed us the white dress embroided with all of their family names that got baptized using it.

We enjoyed the delicious party food and great company.

Be on the lookout for the rogue broccoli.

It was a great afternoon for such a special occasion.
