It was a long walk to the water. Ali, Bennett and Nick had fun chasing each other around a sandcastle they stomped to the ground.
Bennett was really intrigued by the sea gulls and kept running up to them. He would get so confused when they would suddenly fly away and disappear. Sorry Bennett, but I don't think the sea gulls will let you pet them like Max does at home.
Once we got to the water, Ali and Bennett wanted to do nothing but play in the waves. Good thing I brought a change of clothe for Bennett.
I decided to hang back for a little while. I was already cold and I am sure the water was not going to warm me up.
Everybody needs a beach selfie. Kaitlin loved my sunglasses.
The longer we stayed near the water the more nakers and wet the kids got. B was down to his diaper.
Kaitlin stayed nice and dry though. Smart girl.
Ali who was snacking on an apple early left it about half finished by our diaper bag so we could toss it in the trash later. This sea gull had different plans for her leftovers though.
Here he is taking off with it down the beach. Oh well, at least we don't have to worry about throwing it out now.
We started to get concerned about having the kids out in the cold being they were so wet for too long. So we headed up the beach for a walk to one of the rocky islands that popped up out of the sand.
We were about to climb it but Ali was in a need of a bathroom. And, according to her it couldn't wait. So we snapped some quick pictures and headed back to the restrooms and the cars.
The beach wore us out and kids needed to eat. We decided to grab some lunch back at the apartment before heading to the carnival.

GREAT beach pics! Overcast days make for the best beach pics! :) I'm glad you enjoyed your time and scenery!
