She wasn't very happy when she got knocked to the ground given that Nick and Jake were both hitting her.
Bennett loved pushing the tiny stroller around.
The weather really cleared up in the hour we spent at the apartment and we were excited to go to the carnival and finally get some sun.
Ali wanted to do the trampoline jump the minute we got there. It looked like a lot of fun but I think there is a weight limit. She loved going up really high.
Bennett and Kaitlin were observing from the gate and looked very jealous they couldn't jump like Ali.
Sorry guys, but it's for your own good.
We realized that we were at the side of the carnival that had mostly the food vendors. So we went to the other side to enjoy all the rides. To get there we walked along the water and past a stage. There was a band playing music at the time and I was surprised when Bennett didn't react to the loud music. He didn't even seem to notice it.
I cannot believe the turn around in the weather. We were all very happy.
Kaitlin enjoyed the carnival from her stroller. She was so good the entire time. She didn't complain whatsoever. I was very impressed. Bennett was running around like a maniac the whole time. He is a busy buddy. No idea where he gets that.
We finally made it to all the rides. We quickly figured out that Bennett is too little for all of them. I guess he won't be riding any of them this year. Ali was tall enough for pretty much all the rides so we followed her around while vicariously enjoying the rides through her. Although, Linda and Jake actually enjoyed some of them along side her.
Hard to see here but Jake and Ali are inside one of the bears.
She is such a cutie pie!
The carnival was not too crowded. It was nice we didn't have to wait in line for Ali to enjoy her rides.
Kaitlin and Bennett hanging out to pass the time.
It was getting late. We were heading back home tonight and we still had one more stop to make for some gelato in Brunswick. Linda had spoken of Gelato Fiasco very highly. They make all of their own gelato using fresh local ingredients, for example all of the milk for the gelato comes from Maine cows. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it! Nick tried the espresso and raspberry triffle while I chose the rocky road and peanut butter cup. The servings were generous and the gelato amazing! Bennett loved all four. He helped me eat mine.
He did a really good job for the most part. He did try to eat it with his hands a few times.
So proud of my little nugget.
Sadly we headed home right after since it was getting to Bennett's bedtime. Thank you Linda, Jake, Ali and Kaitlin for a fun filled weekend. We miss you already!
On the way home we finally saw some fireworks. These were the only fireworks we saw all weekend.
Happy Independence Day America!

So glad there was a turnaround for the carnival! Looks like it was a lot of fun!!
