iron kettle farm

We visited the Iron Kettle Farm today in Candor, NY.

They have lots of rides, animals and pumpkin displays set up for kids and adults to enjoy.  Bennett likes the large pumpkins on display.  This one was over 250 pounds.  It won first place for the biggest pumpkin.

The rest of the competitors.

We started exploring the rest of the grounds with the pumpkin displays.  They scared Bennett a little.  He took about 15 minutes to warm up to them.

Winston was not bothered one bit.

These are pretty neat!

My personal favorite.

Bennett's favorite.

He calls pumpkins, "a Pieguy."

Nick is wedding crashing.

They are serious about their pumpkin displays.

Bennett dislikes the grow chart.  I did manage to notice that he is exactly 3 feet tall.

After the pumpkin displays we went to the picnic area with a train ride and wooden train, airplane and car toys.

Bennett would have been happy doing nothing else.

Winston finally woke up to enjoy the farm with us.

And, Bennett found the train ride.

Bennett was very happy with the train ride.  We went on the hay ride next.

They had more pumpkin displays set up out here as well.

It was nap time after the hay ride so we made a brief stop at the store for some jam and pie before heading home.  I noticed they had pickled eggs for sale.  I have never seen this many different flavors.

What a great way to spend the morning.  We will be coming back next year when Winston will be able to enjoy the rides as well.
