easter with the neighbors

We are celebrating Easter at our neighbor's today.  Since Russian Orthodox Easter is next weekend, we are in town this Sunday.  I made Easter baskets for the kids before heading over.  I tried to include things other than candy like fruit snacks, crayola markers, stickers and graham crackers.

The kids played outside for a while before we had our delicious lunch of ham, roasted potatoes, broccoli quiche, bacon, sausages, fruit salad, yogurt, cornbread, lemon bread, bagels and blueberry muffins.

Maeve was really loving the hand held fan.  She guarded it closely when Bennett got too close.

The kids got to sit at their own table for lunch.

I think Maeve was the only one to use a fork.  Bennett just dug right in with his hands.  After lunch we passed the time catching up before the food coma hit.  The kids played some and opened their Easter presents/candy.

Nick finally managed to put a tie on Bennett.  We left stuffed way past nap time.  Happy Easter to all!  And, lots of thanks to our awesome neighbors, Maribeth and Mike, for hosting.
