easter egg hunt

This morning we did a miniature egg hunt with Bennett.  I did not buy too many eggs because I was not sure if he would understand what was going on.  I "hid" six eggs in the basement to start.  Bennett found the first egg right away and immediately wanted it open after shaking it.  He got to eat a couple of candies with Daddy's help from the egg.

And, we didn't have to push hard to encourage him to find more eggs.  He started to look around for more immediately.  It turns out candy is a great motivator.  

He was good about putting his new found eggs in the basket as well.

He gathered all of them within 5 minutes so we continued the fun by taking eggs back out of his basket and "re-hiding" them.  He didn't seem to mind or notice so it worked.

Next year we will be doing a bigger egg hunt now knowing how much he enjoyed this one.
