maryland bound

We are flying tonight to Baltimore to see the Seymours!  It is auntie Audrey's birthday weekend and we are coming down to celebrate.  We did not expect any trouble earlier in the week for our flight.  That changed Wednesday when the weather forecast predicted 6-8 inches of snow in the Maryland area.  The snow was going to come down during the day so our flight at 8:30PM should be in the clear.  And, despite four flights prior to ours being cancelled we made it out!  It took much longer than usual to get up in the air because the plane had to be deiced and the baggage had to be rearranged due to a weight and balance issue.

Bennett was in good spirits but had some trouble falling asleep.  We all did because the flight was rougher and longer than we are used to on these trips.  We made it to the house around 1AM and all promptly went to sleep.  It was an uneventful car ride.  The highway was well plowed.  It was unusual to see so much snow in the area especially this time of the year.  We cannot wait to see and catch up with the Seymours in the am.
