Bennett ended up staying up later anyway. We made great time. Only managed to have to stop twice. Got to the cottage around 2AM. Nolan and B spent about a half hour running around and making each other giggle before going to bed. It gave us time to unpack. We went to bed very tired. We were rewarded with a gorgeous sunrise view from the screened-in porch in the morning. Soooo worth the trip already!
It was so quite that I could hear the buzzing of the hummingbirds around the feeder.
Mommies and Kiley were up first of course.
We did not rush getting out today. We had no plans but to stock up on some food and go for a swim and/or boat ride.
The boys managed to get a canoe ride in before lunch. And, all of us got to ride in the boat for a few minutes.
Bennett almost passed out during the boat ride. He loved every second of it and did not want to get out and go back to the cottage.
Winston did not love his life jacket so the boat ride was short.
After lunch the big boys and Betsy, Evan's Mom, ran out for some food while the rest of us napped.
Things were pretty low key after naps as well all just hung out and relaxed.
The boys went out for a swim before dinner. Apparently, Bennett couldn't wait to get into the lake and almost walked right off the dock into the water without a life jacket. He is my little fearless daredevil.
And, everyone enjoyed a boat ride after dinner except Winston and I. We both passed out for the night.
Scott, Evan's Dad, let Bennett drive the boat.
Looks like it was a fun ride! I look forward to another relaxing day tomorrow.
