father's day

This morning we were up bright and early again.  The boys don't sleep in on vacation yet.  Cait, Betsy and I planned a brunch for Evan, Nick and Scott.  We made Overnight Blueberry Stuffed French Toast, Bacon and Spinach Quiche with a homemade crust.  The dads enjoyed the morning hanging with the kiddos.

Bennett loves Scott.

The gang before a delicious Father's Day brunch.

Bennett, Winston and Daddy snuggled.

Nolan was really into bird watching through the binoculars.

After brunch the dads went off to do a round of golf while the moms and the kids took a walk and lounged around at the cottage.  Later on while Winston was sleeping, the rest of us Schifferles went for a short canoe ride.

Bennett loved playing with the water.  He caught some seaweed too!

After about five minutes of being out there the weather took a turn for the worst, thunder and rain.

We quickly got back to the docks.

Bennett helped Daddy tie up the canoe to the dock.

Winston had fun trying out the swing on the porch.  The swing is very old and has been at the cottage for over 20 years.

We grilled some juicy steaks for dinner to finish off another relaxing and fun day at the lake house.  Happy Father's Day to all the great dads I know!
