bennett's 2nd birthday

Today my nugget turns TWO!  I made him some cupcakes to take to daycare to share with all his friends.

I hope it made his day a little more special than just any other day at school.

Bennett and his friends enjoyed the cupcakes but they were all blue from the frosting.

After school, we took some nice selfies and made dinner before celebrating with cake.

Bennett was very good at posing for the camera and saying: "Cheeeeessseeeee!"

Bennett had his favorite chicken nuggets for dinner.  Finally, it was time for his birthday cake.  Mommy was also excited for some cake.

Bennett really enjoyed eating the frosting off the cake.  He ate all of that first.

We are lucky we got some nice pictures with him because every time we came near his cake he would get mad.

It was a full blown tantrum when we cut a slice from the cake to give to him on a plate.  It's hard to explain to a two year old the slice is actually for him to eat.  I think he thought he was sharing.

Instant relief when we put the slice back.

Grandma skyped in to enjoy the show.  Bennett sure loves the frosting.

Even when I took some off the cake to rub onto his face for a cute messy face picture, he didn't let any go to waste and ate the rest off my finger.

He did a nice job eating the cake this year.  It was a lot less messy compared to last year.

For a visual, here is a little throwback to his first birthday brunch.

Bennett finished off his night watching an episode of his favorite show "Curious George."

He was super excited to watch it tonight because he was on a sugar high.

Happiest of Birthdays to my wonderful, funny and sweet little boy.  Everyday with you is an adventure and the past two years have been pure joy.  We love you to the moon and back.
