Second, I finished setting up the food table.
Third, Nick dressed the birthday boy. Doesn't he make an adorable minion?
And, lastly I finished up the drinks station.
We are ready to party!
Bennett got busy greeting his friends as they arrived.
The balloons were a big hit with the kids.
After a yummy lunch of pizza, Wegman's subs and homemade chicken meatball sandwiches, it was time for the birthday cake.
We put the birthday boy and the cake in the living room so he could be in the spotlight.
Bennett got scared when we all started to sing and cried.
Luckily he was all better as soon as we stopped and ready to blow out his candles. He did a good job blowing them out but Daddy helped a little too.
Bennett did not know what to do with the cake because it was so big. I am not sure he realized it was a cake at all. We gave him a cupcake to eat instead. Nolan was ready to help.
This has to be my favorite picture. The balloon photobombed Taylor's family shot.
I was just a little excited to cut the cake. We have enough cake left over to feed Nick and I for five days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a good thing the cake is absolutely delicious!
We took some nice family pictures after eating some cake.
Don't we look cute in our minion gear?
The cake doesn't look as cute after we served it's head to the party guests.
We all got a break to chat or play with friends before doing presents.
I am not sure what Bennett is doing in the corner all alone looking very guilty.
Maeve loved bouncing on the cow,
Nolan and Fergus were getting along really well. Nolan liked the books Fergus' mommy was reading.
And, all the kids contributed to destroying the play room.
Bennett was not keen on opening the presents on his own. So, everyone pitched in to help.
It got really chaotic. There were toys and books and wrapping paper and boxes everywhere. Nolan really enjoyed playing with one of the boxes. Too cute!
Bennett got loads of minion stuff.
He also got lots of tools, trucks and clothe.
After the presents things dwindled down. Most everyone left by 4 o'clock.
