glamping at D60

After having some fun around the campground, we headed over next door to our friends camp site for dinner.  They are off set from the road quite a bit more than us so we had a lot of privacy.  And, they have a stove we could use to cook our turkey hot dogs and mixed vegetables.  While Dylan started a fire so we could warm up our baked potatoes, Noel and I had some wine from disposable wine glasses.  We called it "glamping."

Bennett and Isa bonded over dinner.  Isa really enjoyed helping Bennett eat his hot dogs and veggies.

After dinner, Bennett had a snack by the fire while the rest of us had our dinner.

The boy loves his "Booty."

Time was flying by and in no time it was almost bed time.  We got Bennett changed into his pj's and waited till dusk to put him to bed.  I figured he would sleep better if it was not so light outside.  He found all kinds of "toys" to entertain himself around the campsite.

I don't know how this didn't bother him.

Isa and Bennett joined forces and got into the beer stash and the garbage.  That situation was quickly handled before it got out of control.

I think Bennett was hoping to get away with the bottle unnoticed.

Bennett loved exploring around the campsite while he could.  He literally walked from one end of the site to the other.  Here he is heading toward the beaver damn.

And, here he is trying to take off towards the road with the flashlight.

Once it got darker out we took him to the tent and read a book before putting him down in his pack and play.  We crossed our fingers and left him inside while we started a fire at our campsite for some heat (it was getting quite chilly outside) and s'mores (that's my favorite part of camping).  Bennett was asleep within five minutes.  We are lucky to have such a well behaved boy!  We enjoyed the rest of the night catching up with Dylan and Noel by the camp fire.

  1. What a good boy! Yes the campfires and the s'mores are my favorite part of camping too. Love spending that uninterrupted time with friends!
