father's day

Today we spent the day celebrating Nick and my Dad.  Bennett did not let us sleep in and was awake at 7 AM.  I let Nick sleep in while I took him downstairs to play.  He was so loud that he woke up his Grandma Betty pretty quickly who was sleeping on the pull-out couch.  And, soon there after the entire house was awake.  After breakfast, we checked out the green house.  The plants looked like they were growing well.

They needed some watering.

 Bennett supervised.

My dad picks out the best outfits.

Then, we went for a walk to the nearby pond and park in the wagon.

Mr. Swan was swimming in the lake.

We had a visitor on a 4 wheeler come by and scare Bennett.

The playground was not really a good one for kids Bennett's age.

Daddy had fun climbing though.

Bennett struggle a bit to get onto the slide but it was too steep.

And, there were no baby swings so Bennett and I swung together for a while.

Grandma Betty and Meagan love swinging too.

This playground was a bust so we headed home.  Grandpa thought it would be a great idea to hook up the wagon to the 4 wheeler and drive Bennett to the creek.  He promised he would take it easy so off they went.  Bennett seemed to really love it.

At the creek there were lots of rocks for Bennett to throw and pick up.

He loved it.

He kept trying to go into the creek so we rolled up his pants and encouraged him to go in.  He didn't take us up on the offer.  Funny how as soon as we were letting him go, he refused.  Maybe he saw how Nick and dad reacted to the cold water after they stepped into the creek.

After lunch it was time to say good bye.  Nick's mom and sister left a little before we headed out.  It was really nice to see them.  My mom and Betty had fun bonding the night before staying up very late.

Our trip home was long.  Bennett did really well again.  He enjoyed watching his movies and listening to The Wiggles Soundtrack.

Happy Father's Day to the mostest bestest Dads ever!
