We are staying at Wakeda Campground. It is very close to the Massachusetts border. It only took us an hour to get there. Our friends have been there for a couple of nights already. We were lucky that we could get a site right next door to them so it was a very short walk to get back and forth. Our site number was D46. This is our first camping trip with Bennett so we had a lot of stuff with us and I was eager to set up as soon as we got there in case it took us longer that expected. Turns out we had nothing to worry about because it took us about a half hour to get the tent up, pack and play ready and blow up our mattress. We had great help from Bennett.
He liked laying on his tummy and kicking his feet inside the empty tent.
Daddy was playing peek-a-boo with Bennett. He was laughing so hard.
He loved climbing in and out even though he had a hard time.
The tent was the perfect size for what we needed. It was really cozy. I hope that Bennett enjoys sleeping outdoors later tonight.
Now that we had everything set up, we spent the afternoon enjoying the outdoors and wandering around the campground. We hit up the playground first so Bennett could do some running around. Of course, we had to do some swinging.
Then, Bennett wanted to check out the merry go round. He had never used one before so he was very curious. Daddy was showing Bennett how to use it.
Bennett was loving going around and around in circles.
He even stayed on when a few older kids showed up and started using it, under our close supervision of course. It was definitely his favorite thing on the playground.
We got worried that Bennett would throw up after a while so we moved on to the slide. Bennett really enjoyed it. He could actually climb up this one with my help. And, it was a really fast trip down. Daddy joined the fun.
"Like father, like son," that's what they say, right?
Mommy was having some fun with the shadows.
Proof that I was there.
One last thing we did before heading out is ride on the rocket ship.
Auntie Noel and baby B make a great team.
It was getting late and we had one more stop to make before heading back for dinner. Isa, needed to get some play time too. She was so patient on the playground while Bennett played. We took her to a dog park on the campground. This was a nice large fenced-in area. Isa had a lot of fun chasing after the giant string Dylan was throwing for her.
The dog park had a large fire hydrant for the pups. I thought it was a nice touch.
Bennett did not care this was a dog park. He had a lot of fun running around and chasing after Isa.
Once the kids were all out of energy it was time to head back. We have lots of goodies to grill for dinner.

Looks like a lot of fun !!! Miss my Bantik :):(
