rob and sue's wedding day

Today is the day our friend's are getting married!  Before heading to the wedding we had sometime to kill. We went to explore the Gap of Dunloe which was coincidentally about a mile down the street.  It is a  narrow mountain pass between Macgillycuddy's Reeks (west) and Purple Mountain (east).  The road is narrow, winding and is difficult for larger vehicles.  Within it are five lakes: Coosaun Lough, Black Lake, Cushnavally Lake, Auger Lake, and Black Lough (north to south). These lakes are connected by the River Loe. Between the first two lakes is an old arch bridge called the 'Wishing Bridge' so named because it is said that wishes made while upon it are destined to come true.  The weather outside was rainy and windy but we decided to go anyway.  The scenery was amazing.  We couldn't get a jaunting car so we just drove in our cars through the Gap and back.

The 'Wishing Bridge' that I wish I knew made wishes come true.

It was a very windy day.  Cait and I were having a hard time standing still to take a picture.

We hurried back to the house after being out for about an hour to get ready.  We made to the wedding right on time and we had the best time.  The ceremony was beautiful and lasted for about an hour.  The rest of the day we spent mingling and eating and drinking.  There was dancing and speeches and whiskey.  The five course meal was incredible.  The best food I had in Ireland yet.  Bennett stayed until about seven o'clock before going home with my mom.  We had the most wonderful time.

Tomorrow is going to be a rough day.
