recap

Bennett had a great first day at school!  I called to check in twice.  He did not cry and asked about us once.  He followed all of the instructions the teacher gave him.  Bennett enjoyed working on the craft project in the morning and playing outside in the afternoon.  The teacher was amazed how easily he went off to sleep for his nap.  There were three boys that he played with the most: Adrien, Mason and Mac.  He ate very little for lunch which was ravioli.  This is something new to him so I wasn't surprised.  When daddy picked him up he told him: "He had fun and he wanted to go back to the new school."  I am happy to hear his first day went so well! The teachers did warn me the second day is the toughest.

This morning Bennett cried.  He pulled a 180 on us.  He kept telling us he wants to go to Miss Jeanne's.  He doesn't want to go to the new school.  On the car ride there he calmed down.  He told me the new school has muffins.  I said: "Hmm, maybe."  As we walked in the muffins were on the table for breakfast!  The teachers and the kids were talking about them yesterday and Bennett remembered.  He was clingy at first.  I sat him down to have some berry muffins and he looked happy.  He started to tear up a little when I said "Good-bye" but he didn't cry (or, that I saw).  I hope he enjoys his day even though it started out rough.

P.S. Winston is happy go lucky! I was worried about him going to Miss Jeanne's without Bennett.  He is not bothered a single bit by the arrangement. Phew! What was I worried about? Ugh...
