christmas day

Up and at them as usual at 7 AM this morning...  Winston was up and babbling away which woke Bennett up.  Bennett is much louder and crankier in the mornings.

Winston got to open a present first.  He is the youngest this year.  It's also his first Christmas!

He liked the tissue paper the best.  He did really well opening on his own but he was very slow and kept snacking on the tissue and wrapping papers and the bags. Winston enjoyed opening his presents.

The boys (and the adults) had a blast opening all of their presents.  It took 2 hours to get through opening them all.  Bennett was easily distracted by his presents.  He wanted to play with his gifts right after opening and became uninterested in opening more after a while.




It was a busy and hectic morning.  The living room is covered in toys and the recycling and trash bins are overflowing from the wrapping papers and boxes.  Everyone is happy with their Christmas loot.  Tonight we are making beef tenderloin with green bean casserole and mashed potatoes.  I am looking forward to spending the day in my pajamas.  We had the doors and windows open today.  It is 65 degrees outside and felt more like Spring than Winter today.  Merry Christmas to All!

christmas eve

Tonight we are celebrating Christma Eve with Baba Lena, Brian, Thuy and baby Xena.  Thuy made delicious beef pot roast.  The evening was very low key.

Some of the highlights...  Boys opened their new pajamas.  Bennett made a place of cookies for Santa.  He left Santa some milk for the cookies.  Xena and Thuy took a nap.  Bennett was not happy with me taking pictures.

I cannot wait to see Bennett and Winston open all of their presents tomorrow morning.  Bennett really enjoyed opening a few tonight.

letter from Santa

Bennett got a letter from someone special today.  It's a letter from Santa!  It came all the way from the North Pole.  Santa wrote Bennett he has been keeping an eye on him all year.  Bennett has been a good boy and a good Big brother.  He is on the Nice list.

Looks like Bennett will be getting lots of presents this year.

the polar express

We are riding the Polar Express tonight!  Bennett is very excited about ridding on the train.  He keeps saying: "A train train.  A choo choo.  Chugga Chugga Woo Woo!"

We got cozy on the train.  The servers brought us some cookies and hot chocolate.  And, the book was playing over the loud speakers.  

Winston was still hungry after his dinner and tried eating his Golden ticket.

Bennett was really excited about his Golden ticket.  He was happy to show it off after the Conductor punched it out. 

We made it to the North Pole to see Santa!

Bennett really enjoyed riding on the train and meeting Santa.  He is going to love Christmas morning this year.  We cannot wait!

crawling backwards

 Winnie often ends up under a chair or a couch.
