We had so much fun at Watkins Glen that we decided to do another hike the next day. We headed to Ithaca to do the hike by the Buttermilk Falls.
This time we had our friends, Tony and Erin, with us.
There were a lot of people already there swimming in the pool of water at the bottom of the falls. The hiking trail was fairly clear though and we were able to comfortably hike the route and enjoy the scenery. This trail was steep so it was a good thing that it was short. The way down was a great relief. Bennett did really well. We have a future hiker on our hands.
There were a lot of flat areas where pools of water would collect and people would stop and swim. This one reminded me of Watkins Glen because you could sit or stand behind the fall.
We enjoyed the hike and left very hungry for our lunch at Alladin's. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. It was so good. Nothing makes you hungry like the outdoors.
Omg alladins! How I miss that place! This park looks nice too! Glad you can enjoy the outdoors together
