isla and bennett

When Nick and I attended our birthing class at UMass Hospital we met our now friends, Tami and Matt.  Tami was due in January expecting a baby girl and we kept in close contact.  Today we headed to their house for a play date.  Their adorable baby girl, Isla, was born January 13th so she is only a couple of weeks older than Bennett.  The difference is so small but is actually significant.  Isla has already rolled over and she is very vocal.  Bennett is still trying to roll and hasn't found his voice yet.  I am hoping that hanging with Isla will encourage him to grow.  The two of them hardly noticed each other even in close proximity.  They played in the activity gym as though the other didn't exist.  Too funny!  Isla even tried rolling over a few times on top of Bennett.

With so many toys in the gym I think Isla thought Bennett was also a toy.

They got along really well and we look forward to many more play dates.  Thanks to Tami and Matt for a delicious lunch and a great afternoon.
