water fire in Providence, RI

My uncle Steve turned 80 this year.  He was in Providence, RI for a bridge tournament.  My aunt Emily invited us to his surprise birthday dinner.  We drove out a little early so we could enjoy the water fire in Providence.  They lit it specifically for the bridge tournament but I like to think it was for my uncle.

It was a really cold night but the fire gave off a lot of heat and it wasn't too bad by the water.

Dinner went really well.  My uncle was very surprised to see everyone.  I am glad we got a chance to see everyone and celebrate his big day with him.  The birthday boy is at the head of the table.

snacking while driving

Happy Thanksgiving!  We spent the day cleaning, eating, cooking and relaxing before heading out to auntie Noel and uncle Dylan's house for our big turkey dinner.

Bennett spent his day snacking and driving us crazy.  It looks like a bomb went off in his playroom.
I wish I took some pictures at dinner which was very nice and delicious.  We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and meal!

snow

Bennett really enjoys watching the snow out the window.

He also really likes talking about it.

someone loves his bath time

This is pretty much how Bennett plays in the tub every night.  It is very animated and wet.

But, it looks like a lot of fun.

week 13

Today I went in for the chromosome testing and spina bifida ultrasound at UMass.  Once again the baby was looking perfect and super wiggly.  The heart rate was a strong 150 bpm.  The baby is the length of a pea pod.  Fingerprints have formed on the baby's fingers.

I did the first round of blood work for the chromosome testing today as well.  I am so happy to see the baby again.  And, I am starting to show a little bump.

best bed head yet

Bennett had the best bed head after his nap today.

I can't make this stuff up.

home!

Today I came home.  I was so happy to see my boys! We spent all of our time cuddling.

I would prefer to never go away again please.

week 11

My first selfie of the baby bump.  The baby is the size of a fig.  The baby's hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under the gums, and some of the bones are starting to harden.

I would sleep all day if I could.  I am still turning down dessert but I am now craving oatmeal.

mommy's trip to France

Today I was heading out to Strasbourgh, France for work.  My new job does a two week training there for an instrument I will be supporting.  I was really sad leaving my boys for a long two weeks.

We did our best to keep in touch every night over Skype.  I am not sure how people survived without Skype ten plus years back.  It made the distance apart easier to take.  Daddy did not have much time to take pictures while I was away.  Here are a few he did take.

Bennett visited with Nolan one evening since Daddy had a work party to attend.  Nolan and B really enjoyed bath time.

Thanks for the yummy dinner auntie Cait.

I spent most of my days in class training while in France.  I got to do some sightseeing and travel to Germany over the weekend.  The trip was very educational and great for my career.  I missed my boys terribly though.  I was very happy to finally come home.  Bennett seemed to have grown so much in the two weeks I was away.

fall crafts

Bennett comes home with a craft everyday now.  There are so many cute ones that we don't have room on our fridge anymore to hang them all up.  I am glad I can take pictures of them all so we can remember everything that he has made.

Love that the hair on the witch are his little hands.

These keep getting cuter and cuter.

Looks like Bennett covered up some important parts.

Wish he could wear this hat.

Cute idea!

Bennett has some work to do coloring between the lines.

I think these are my favorite spiders.

No wonder they keep asking for toilet paper rolls.  Great way to recycle.

Wait, this maybe my favorite spider instead.

I should hang this wreath on his bedroom door.

I warned you there were a lot of crafts!

Bennett thinks his Humpy Dumpty is a minion.  He points at him and excitedly says: "Minion!"
